In 2012, Laurie put together a board and registered Dove Creek Ranch Equine Rescue with the state as a tax-exempt nonprofit organization. Once horses have been restored to health, horse trainer Frank Castillo’s patience, compassion, and training expertise allow Dove Creek to prepare the horses for working again – whether with cattle or humans.
