Michele and I have been busily building the pages of Best of Amarillo, which will be a glossy magazine instead of newsprint this year. There are 120 winners, give or take, and we've been slowly compiling photos and info over the last few weeks in between working on our October issue of Amarillo Magazine.

When it came to the cover concept, we thought it would be fun to bring Lacey Brown on board. She agreed and we enjoyed her company for about an hour on an early Friday morning to grab the cover shot.

Best of Amarillo will be out the beginning of October. Grab a copy and see how this city voted on the best restaurants, businesses, and community figures.
