Last year, around this time, Michele and I ran off to the bookstore, pencil and notepads in hand, to hide away with our coffees and plan all of 2010. Though many of the themes and ideas we devised ended up being revised along the way, it was important to us to pave some sort of path into the next calendar year instead of taking it month by month.

In what seemed like the blink of an eye, we're here again, already starting on October and realizing 2011 will be here in no time. But it's only August, you say. School hasn't even started yet, you say. You're telling me! Welcome to magazine publishing, and truth be told, national magazines work many more months ahead. (Can you imagine planning a holiday issue while tending to your summertime sunburn?)

So consider this our formal invitation to you for future ideas, concepts and stories you'd like to see in Amarillo Magazine next year. Our goal is to keep AM authentic and true to the Texas Panhandle lifestyle, as well as telling the diverse and unique stories of the people who make Amarillo home.
