The Just Us Girls Club of Amarillo first organized in the fall of 1900, when few, if any, women’s clubs existed at all. By 1902, these learned women started a library as a civic project which ended up becoming the Amarillo Public Library. This photo was taken in September 1977 in the home of Helen Lutz.
