Wintry Mix: A Coat for Every Man

During the blustery Panhandle winters, a man’s coat becomes a multitasker. It has to protect him from the frigid wind chills. It has to keep him dry while cleaning off the car during an epic snowstorm. And it has to be fashionable enough to keep him from becoming the butt of any “Puff Daddy” or Marshmallow Man jibes. That line between practical and fashionable can be a tricky one to manage, but we’ve selected a variety of current styles that can keep you warm and keep you looking good. Leather. Wool. Suit-ready formality or military-inspired casual. This winter, make sure your personal style doesn’t disappear when the sunshine does.

The North Face Apex Bionic jacket $149, Hill’s Sport Shop

Horny Toad flannel-lined jacket $155, Top Notch Outfitters

Patagonia down sweater $229, CD Ski & Sports

Peter Millar wool suede-trimmed jacket $495, Raffkind’s Clothiers

Michael Kors button-front wool coat $295, Dillard’s

Murano leather jacket $495, Dillard’s
